CHARLOTTE LOWRY

LIZA is an only child and a military "brat." Her father is a naval officer and her mother was originally a sort of trashy "townie" and then becomes a respectable officer's wife. LIZA's family moves around a lot and she is a bit of a wild child. She doesn't play organized sports in school but she runs long distances and takes martial arts classes and often plays flag football and other games with some of the younger men on the military bases. Her father was strict and had a military bearing but he was loving and taught LIZA self-respect. She was in great physical shape and was very interested in eating healthy and getting plenty of exercise. Her father was stationed at the Presidio in San Francisco for the largest period of time while she was growing up and that is where she considers home. He was also stationed at the base in Washington (need to find out the name) and she really liked that area. She attends the University of Washington (U Dubb) and gets a degree in Nutrition.

LIZA is crazy for a man in uniform and she is very attracted to men who are physically fit. She dates a lot of firemen, police officers, EMTs, some military men. Many of her relationships last 6 or 9 months but none of them are ever particularly serious. She is fun and adventurous and has a smart mouth and a loud voice. She has long black hair and pretty violet eyes. She has a great body, of course.

When her grandmother dies and leaves her some money as an inheritance, LIZA moves back to San Francisco and buys a small neighborhood health food store, where she sells fruit smoothies, organic groceries and other health-food items. ANNIE and the kids often stop by her store on their way home from the park. They strike up a conversation about the puppies and soon become close friends.
