The Pianist

The MM - "Adrien Brody portrays a classical pianist who must hide and survive during the Nazi occupation of Warsaw, Poland. Like any realistic WW II drama, this film has intense scenes of brutality and harsh inhumanity but Brody's outstanding performance and Roman Polanski's superb directing put this movie in the upper echelon of war time dramas. Polanski adeptly combines stark realism and human interest to deliver an intense yet memorable film.
