Sunshine State

The MM - "Master story teller John Sayles writes and directs this thoughtful, interesting, and insightful tale about several lifelong residents of Florida who must come to terms with the changes that are occurring in their beloved home state. Sayles' dialogue driven style serves him well as he conveys the casual pace of southern living, yet gives the audience an abundance of information about many interesting, complex, likable, and identifiable characters. We also gain insight into the characters history, interpersonal relationships, view on local politics, social group dynamics, and complexities of the life changing issues they must confront. Realistic, cerebral, and personal, Sunshine State will make you feel like a local no matter where you live."
