Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron

The MM - "Good but not great animated adventure about the wild west told through the eyes and heart of a Mustang. Straight forward tale told at a child's level, showing the conflict between westward expansion in America and the cultural effects on the existing cultures. One interesting aspect of the film is that the horses never speak but Spirit is the narrator and Bryan Adams lyrics are sung from his perspective (this does not sound interesting at all to the typist). Simple, predictable, and short (75 minutes) Dreamworks turns these characteristics into positive attributes as they keep in mind the youngest of viewers. "
