Igby Goes Down

The MM - "Kieran Culkin takes another giant step in making sure that nobody mistakes him for his brother as he plays a dissatisfied high schooler who rejects military school and goes on the lam in New York City. Culkin's modern day Holden Caufield like adventure includes an eccentric godfather Jeff Goldblum, his heroin addicted girlfriend, Amanda Peet (caution: link may contain nudity), a narcissistic brother Ryan Phillippe, his slacker girlfriend Claire Danes and the mother of all neurotic mothers (Susan Sarandon). Interesting and well acted, but a little too repetitive and abrasive with a comfortable and pat ending."
