The Emporer's New Clothes

The MM - "Ian Holm plays a dual role in the English production that proposes a very interesting yet totally unbelievable theory about the last days of France's most famous head of state. However, solid acting and an intriguing plot can only carry a film so far. This movie hits quicksand about half way through. A highly unlikely romance doesn't help matters and the classic British rye wit creates some smiles yet few laughs. For those interested in this era of history, this movie may hold your attention and gain your affection but most will find this drama less than a comfortable fit."
