Eight Legged Freaks

The MM - "Filmed in Superior, AZ and set in small town Nevada, Sheriff Kari Wuhrer and daughter Scarlett Johansson, the town's prodigal son David Arquette, and the rest of the community find themselves under siege from giant spiders which mutated after exposure to toxic waste. Campy in the spirit of Sci-Fi's golden era of the 1950's, Eight Legged Freaks has little else going for it. Illogical and lengthy (Even at ninety nine minutes) this film drags on way past the point of being enjoyable. The films ending looks like it's solely for the purpose of wrapping up the story. The result is a movie that will be liked by few and touted by fewer.
