The MM - "What happened that fateful night in November of 1924 aboard the private yacht of William Randolph Hearst with Charlie Chaplain on the guest list? A better question might be, do you care? If so, then Peter Bogdonovich offers one interesting interpretation as to who done it. Kirsten Dunst offers her best performance to date and Edward Herrman portrays the powerful yet insecure Hearst. Eddie Izzard is Chaplain at his egotistical best. If not, this film will appear slow, wordy and trivial."
