About Schmidt

The MM - "Jack Nicholson's Golden Globe winning performance is outstanding as he portrays a retired Omaha insurance executive who learns more about himself and real life after the sudden death of his wife then he did during his entire career. This film is a coming of age/road trip movie for the senior citizen set. Nicholson fires up the Winnebago and embarks on a hilarious cross country trip that is both funny and touching. Nicholson gets fine support from Kathy Bates, Hope Davis, Dermot Mulroney, and Howard Hesseman. This dark comedy fits the "you'll laugh, you'll cry" cliché and is a welcome change from standard teen oriented, action flicks.
