About a Boy

The MM - "The title is "About a Boy" and Hugh Grant's mug is all over the posters but this movie is for women. The same British movie making team that showed us in Briget Jones Diary how wonderful single women who obsess about their weight are now show us how great bitter single mom's and their kids are. Hugh Grant's life is a living Hell. He's single, healthy, good looking, and independently wealthy. Drastic changes need to be made. Grant starts traveling the road to true happiness by taking an interest in some ladies at the local single parent's group and befriends one of the lads in the neighborhood who is growing up fatherless. The development of these relationships is interesting, likeable characters and a sense of humor also help, but this movie did not help the Movie Man get in touch with his feminine side."
